IR Heat Lamp PAR38 E27 – 100 W, 150 W or 175 W

€7.50
Tax included

The PAR38 infrared heat lamp with E27 base is designed for directional local heating in poultry rearing, young-animal care and suitably designed terrariums. The red infrared light provides warmth in a selected area without heating the entire room.

It is available in three power versions: 100 W, 150 W and 175 W. The appropriate power depends on the size of the heated area, mounting distance, ambient temperature, ventilation and the needs of the animals.

The lamp has a standard E27 base. Due to the high operating temperature, it must be used with a suitable ceramic lamp holder and a securely installed protective enclosure.

PAR38 infrared heat lamp for local heating

The PAR38 infrared heat lamp with E27 base provides directional heat and is suitable for warming a limited area where animals require a higher temperature than the surrounding environment.

It can be used for chicks, quail, piglets and other young animals, as well as in suitably designed terrariums. Before use, always check the temperature requirements of the specific animal species.

Available power versions

Power General guidance
100 W For a smaller heated area or a warmer ambient environment
150 W For a medium-sized heated area and general use
175 W For higher heating requirements or a colder environment

This table is only a general guide. The correct power depends on mounting height, room size, heat loss, ventilation, ambient temperature and the needs of the animals.

Main features

  • available in 100 W, 150 W and 175 W versions,
  • standard E27 base,
  • PAR38 reflector-bulb shape,
  • directional infrared heating,
  • red light,
  • suitable for local heating in animal-rearing applications,
  • suitable for use in properly designed terrariums,
  • easy replacement in a suitable E27 lamp enclosure.

Use in animal rearing

A heat lamp allows animals to choose a warmer or cooler area within the enclosure. In addition to the heated zone, a cooler area should always remain available so the animals can move away from the heat when necessary.

Temperature should be measured at animal level, not only close to the lamp. Animal behaviour is also an important indicator: if all animals gather directly beneath the lamp, the temperature may be too low; if they avoid the heated area, it may be too high.

Installation

  1. Use a suitable ceramic E27 lamp holder designed for heat lamps.
  2. Install the lamp in a stable and secure protective enclosure.
  3. Fix the enclosure so that it cannot fall or come into contact with animals or combustible materials.
  4. Begin with a greater mounting distance and adjust it according to measured temperature.
  5. Regularly inspect the temperature, lamp, cable and lamp holder.

Important safety information

  • The lamp becomes very hot during operation.
  • Use only a suitable ceramic lamp holder and heat-resistant enclosure.
  • Keep the lamp away from water, bedding, plastic and other combustible materials.
  • Ensure stable mounting and use an appropriate protective guard.
  • Do not touch the hot lamp; allow it to cool completely before replacement.
  • Do not use a cracked, damaged or malfunctioning lamp.
  • Protect the electrical cable from animals and mechanical damage.
  • Do not determine temperature from lamp wattage alone; always verify it with a thermometer.
  • Do not leave the lamp operating in an inadequately protected area.

Selecting the appropriate power

The 100 W version is often suitable for a smaller heated area or a warmer room. The 150 W and 175 W versions provide more heat, but they also require greater care regarding mounting distance and installation.

When selecting the power, consider:

  • ambient temperature,
  • size of the heated area,
  • mounting height,
  • ventilation and heat loss,
  • age and species of the animals,
  • the animals' ability to move to a cooler area.

Important before purchase

Before use, make sure the enclosure, lamp holder, cable and electrical installation are suitable for the selected lamp power. Plastic lamp holders and unsuitable enclosures are not appropriate because of the high operating temperature.
